Jimmy Lee Lindsey Jr. (Jay Reatard), known for his solo work and a member of The Reatards and Lost Sounds, died during his sleep on Jan 13 at his home in Midtown, Memphis. Friends of Reatard told that he had complained of flu-like symptoms earlier, but right now the cause of his death has not been determined. Reatard’s career was successful from the start and will always be remembered for his garage-rock style.
